Pulsar DB6 Ultrasonic Transducer Level MeasurementÃ' 

This ultrasonic transducer from the Pulsar DB range is suitable forÃ' distancesÃ' up to a maximum of 6 Metres.

Combined with an transmitter from the Pulsar Ultra or Pulsar Black Box range there are all the benefits of a two-part systemÃ' with clear displays, integral keypads, lots of relays and a wide range of control functions (for pumps, alarms, penstocks, etc).

Standard cable lengths are 5m, 10m, 20m and 30m. Longer lengths can be made to order in approximately 2 weeks. (Please state the length required when ordering.

All transducers are suitable for use in zones 1 and 2 hazardous areas.

Alternative versions are available for use in zone 0 areas.

Most transducers can be supplied with integral ANSI or DIN flanges with full PTFE facings.

Most transducers can be supplied in a PVDF construction (still the same size as the standard transducers but with much enhanced chemical compatibility)

Transducer technology

The Pulsar transducers carry out a degree of pre-processing within the transducer, which gives a number of benefits:

• Any two-core screened cable can be used. Low-loss (co-axial) cables are not required to connect back to the controller.
• There is virtually no limit to the distance allowed between the head and the controller. They say up to 1000m as standard.
• The systems are virtually unaffected by "noise" even if the transducer cables are run close to power cables.
