VEGASON S 62
Function:Â Short ultrasonic pulses of approx. 70 kHz are emitted by the transducer in the direction of the measured product, then reflected back from the product surface and received by the transducer.
Ultrasonic pulses travel at the speed of sound. The time from emission to reception of the signals is proportional to the level in the vessel. The adjustment of the sensors is carried out via the indicating and adjustment module PLICSCOM.
Application:Â VEGASON S 62 is suitable for level measurement of liquids and for use in small bulk solids vessels. The sensor is always mounted at the top.
Typical applications are measurement of liquids in storage vessels or open sumps up to a height of 8 m and can also carry out flow
measurement in open flumes or weirs.
When using the sensor on bulk solids, the maximum measuring range is normally halved, but this depends on the amount of dust generated and the consistency of the bulk solid.
